Allen Beck, Ph.D.
Allen has been a consultant to governmental and social service
agencies for the past 20 years. Many of his projects have involved performance analysis and operations improvement. His background
includes serving as the Director of a major center for the U.S. Department of Justice that trained program planners and evaluators
in state and local governmental agencies across the country. Other highlights of his background include consulting in strategic planning
in the health care field, financial feasibility studies for county government capital improvement projects, planning of social services
programs, planning and evaluation of programs for school staff and students, and evaluation of adult and youth programs. Allen is
a principal of Pacific Accord.
Denise Upah Mills
Denise Denise has 25 years of successful business ownership that span a variety
of industries including: health care, real estate; insurance; financial services; agriculture, healthcare; and technology. She
launched Six Degrees Solutions LLC in 1998, to help executives and business owners develop stronger business relationships and create
strategic alliances through networking. Her work in networking has taken her to speaking engagements around the country. She also
works closely with a large foundation in Kansas City, The Kauffman Foundation, to help aspiring entrepreneurs explore the feasibility
of starting a business. In 2002, Denise was recognized as one of 25 "Women Who Mean Business" by the Kansas City Business Journal.
On December 30, 2005, Denise had breakfast in the White House with the First Lady. She was selected by the Johnson County Library
system as their community representative when they received a national library award for excellence. Denise had used the Library's
resources to research and successfully plan a $50-million technology company. Denise currently serves as a Director on
several Boards: the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Board of Directors for the Women's Resource
Network, and is President of the Board of the K-State Johnson County Extension and Outreach Foundation. Denise has been
a facilitator of Investment in Excellence seminars for more than ten years and is a principal of Pacific Accord.
Joyce Layman
Joyce
has more than 15 years of successful sales experience. It was through her continuous search for knowledge to push her to higher
levels of achievement, both personally and professionally, that she found Pacific Accord. She is experienced in team building, training,
consulting, and coaching for business leaders and entrepreneurs. Because of her speaking abilities she is frequently called on
to make keynote presentations and conduct workshops. She is a professional member of the National Speakers Association;
American Society of Training and Development, Kansas City Chapter; Central Exchange; and Toastmasters International. Joyce is
an associate of Pacific Accord and is based in the Kansas City area.
Kurt is a business coach and training
consultant. Formerly with Dale Carnegie Institute, Kurt has over 20 years experience in training, project management, operations
and marketing. He also has experience in broadcast management with seven years in radio and five years in television. He successfully turned cash flow from negative to positive for three radio stations and positioned each station as a business leader
in the community with increased market share. Kurt devoted a year to the development of an inner-city youth program, Urban Youth
Leadership, for a long-time business associate. This included gaining the cooperation of many inner-city organizations, creating
partnerships to provide education assistance, and mentoring and scholarships for higher education. Kurt is an associate of Pacific
Accord and is based in the Kansas City area.
Cherie has more than 15 years of industry experience working
in education, training, and curriculum development, as well as providing high-level coaching and facilitation.Her topic range is extensive
and includes strategic planning, communications, grammar and writing skills, leadership, conflict management, teamwork, sales, and
problem solving. She is also very experienced in developing seminars and designing curricula. Her talents have been drawn upon to
train other trainers and to coach other coaches.Her experience in corporate, educational, blue collar, non-profit, and retail
settings add to her flexibility and ability to intuitively connect with clients. Cherie has inspired, helped, and challenged thousands
across the U.S. and was recognized as "Trainer of the Year" during her tenure with Fred Pryor Seminars and CareerTrack Seminars.
